Single- and Dual-Space Meters
Single- and dual-space parking meters are located in various parking zones downtown. Parking meters accept payment by coin (quarters only) as well as by card or mobile payment. See below for more information.

How to Pay at a Meter:
- If at a dual-space meter, use the arrow keys to select your space and press CONFIRM, otherwise proceed with Step 2.
- For coin payment, enter quarters only and press CONFIRM to complete transaction, OR
- For card payment/tap to pay, use the +/- keys to increase or decrease the duration, OR press the MAX key to select the maximum time allowed, then press CONFIRM.
- Insert/remove credit card quickly or hold card or phone over the Tap to Pay symbol and wait for the beep.
- Confirm the transaction has completed and enjoy Downtown San Leandro!
How to Pay at a Pay Station:
- Press START key to wake up the pay station.
- Enter your License Plate using the keypad.
- For coin payment, enter quarters only and press CONFIRM to complete transaction, OR
- For card payment/tap to pay, use the +/- keys to increase or decrease the duration, OR press the MAX key to select the maximum time allowed, then press CONFIRM.
- Insert/remove credit card quickly or hold card or phone over the Tap to Pay symbol and wait for the beep.
- Confirm the transaction has completed and enjoy Downtown San Leandro!
*REMEMBER: You do not need to display a receipt, your license plate serves as proof of payment.
How to Pay by App:
ParkMobile is a convenient way to pay for your on-street parking through your mobile phone. In addition to the ability to pay for your parking with just a click of a button, you can also set up notifications to alert you when your parking session is set to expire. The Parkmobile app is free, however transaction fees apply.
How to Use ParkMobile:
- Download the ParkMobile App to your Apple or Android device.
- Sign up with an easy registration.
- Enter the correct Zone Number for where you parked, see the meter, pay station or posted signs.
- Confirm the zone number, location (including space number, if available) and license plate number for the parked vehicle.
- Select a payment method and the choose the duration you wish to park.
- Confirm your parking session and enjoy Downtown San Leandro!
- NOTIFICATION: You can enable notifications to let you know when your parking session is about to expire. You have the option to extend your session through the mobile app, up to the maximum time allowed in that parking zone.
